Matching Family Christmas Pajamas 2026 — More New Styles, Made to Sleep In and Photograph
Most families start shopping for Christmas pajamas in September and October, months ahead of the tree, and for practical reasons: holiday card photos are shot in October, a coordinated set needs every size in one order, and adult sizes in the best-loved prints sell through first. For 2026, PatPat has released its widest range of holiday styles yet — more new Christmas prints, more silhouettes, and more one-piece and two-piece options across every size. A family set isn't finished until the last person's size is in the box, so shop early and the rest of the season falls into place: matching outfits for Christmas Eve and the tree farm, bamboo sleepwear, and officially licensed character pieces, all cut in the same PatPat family sizing, dog included.
Family Christmas Pajamas Everyone Actually Sleeps In
The photo lasts longer than the wrapping paper, so our family Christmas pajamas are built for both the camera and the 3 a.m. wake-up — not one at the expense of the other.
Sized as one family, not five separate departments
Every holiday story is graded across the whole household, so nobody is left out of the frame or squeezed into a size that "almost" works:
- Newborn and infant footies, with fold-over cuffs and zip or snap closures
- Toddler and kids' two-piece sets, cut for independent dressing
- Women's and men's, including plus and tall
- Bump-friendly and nursing-friendly cuts in the core prints
- A matching pet bandana in selected stories
Pieces are sold individually and stay in stock together, so a late-joining in-law or a new baby can be added to the same set weeks after the first order.
Fabric and print chosen for February, not just December
We knit our Christmas pajamas in brushed cotton-blend jersey and mid-weight interlock selected for how they behave after the holidays: colour that survives repeat washing, seams that don't twist, cuffs that still hold their shape. Prints — buffalo plaid, Fair Isle, gingerbread, reindeer — are scaled large enough to read across a group shot and restrained enough that adults are wearing pajamas, not a costume. Sizing is given in measurements rather than vague S/M/L, because the most common regret in a family set is one person's fit, not the print.
Christmas outfits for the parts of December you leave the house for
Not every holiday moment happens in bed. Our Christmas outfits coordinate with the pajama palette so the whole day photographs as one look:
- Velvet and tulle dresses for church and Christmas Eve dinner
- Plaid rompers and suspender-and-bowtie sets for Santa photos
- Sequin and cable-knit pieces for holiday parties and school concerts
- Warm layered looks for the tree farm and outdoor light walks
Order earlier than feels necessary
- Late October – early November: most holiday card photos are shot
- Early November: adult sizes in the best-loved prints start selling through
- Mid November: leaves room for a size exchange before the photo day
- December: check the shipping cut-off shown at checkout for your country
Matching Family Outfits: Coordinated, Not Costumed
Designed from the adult silhouette backwards
Most matching sets fail the grown-ups. The kids' piece is charming; the adult version is a novelty T-shirt nobody wears twice. We design matching family outfits the other way round — a dress that stands on its own at a summer wedding, a shirt that works at the airport, a swim set for the beach — then translate the print into kid and baby proportions. The colour story reads in a photo; the individual pieces read as clothes.
Matching family pajamas, all year round
Our matching family pajamas stay in the range outside the holidays, because the mornings families photograph aren't only in December:
- New-sibling homecomings and hospital-bag sets
- Birthdays, gender reveals and baby showers
- Long-weekend and cabin mornings
- Grandparent visits, when the set needs two more sizes at short notice
Mommy and me outfits
Mommy and me outfits run from newborn through adult plus, with nursing-friendly openings and bump-friendly cuts in many styles, and coordinating looks for a daughter or a son — not only dress-and-dress pairs.
Daddy and me outfits
Daddy and me outfits get real menswear fabric and fit: proper shirting, sturdy jersey tees, board-short swim, standard men's sizing. The point is a dad who'd wear the shirt on a Tuesday, with or without the matching toddler beside him.
Bamboo Pajamas for Hot Sleepers and 2 a.m. Diaper Changes
Why the fabric matters at night
Viscose made from bamboo does one thing exceptionally well: it moves heat and moisture away from skin instead of holding it there. That's why our bamboo pajamas suit babies who wake damp-haired and flushed, toddlers in over-warm bedrooms, and older kids who have kicked everything off by midnight. The knit is fluid and drapey rather than fuzzy, so it adds no bulk under a sleep sack, and its natural stretch follows a growing body instead of fighting it.
Construction details that shorten the night shift
- Two-way zippers — open from the ankle to change a diaper without undressing a sleeping baby
- Zipper guard at the chin and a covered pull, so nothing catches skin
- Fold-over mitten and footie cuffs — buys an extra size of wear and stops face-scratching
- Printed, tagless labels — nothing rubbing a shoulder blade at 4 a.m.
- Generous rise and shoulder seams — no seam pressure over a full diaper
Bamboo baby clothes for the rest of the day
The same fabric carries through daytime in our bamboo baby clothes — sleepers, rompers, knotted gowns, two-piece sets and coming-home outfits. It's a practical choice for delicate newborn skin, and for anyone who would rather wash one fabric on one cycle than sort a nursery drawer by care label.
Keeping it soft
Wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, tumble low or hang to dry, and skip fabric softener — it coats the fibre and reduces exactly the moisture-moving quality you bought it for. Zip zippers closed before washing, and the hand stays soft across the whole size range.
Officially Licensed Disney, PAW Patrol and Friends
A child who loves a character notices when the character is wrong — the ear shape, the shade of the dress, the badge on the pup's chest. Every licensed piece we make is produced under official licence to the rights holders' own artwork, colour standards and safety requirements.
Disney clothes, including Mickey Mouse and Minnie outfits
Our Disney clothes are printed and washed to hold artwork through the repeat wear a favourite outfit gets — a graphic that survives being worn three days a week is worth more than one that photographs well once. Mickey Mouse clothes and Minnie outfits run from baby rompers to adult tees, so a park day photographs as a family rather than as one child in costume.
Disney Princess clothes and Moana
Disney Princess clothes split sensibly into two jobs. Everyday knits — tees, leggings, sweatshirts — carry the character into school and playdates. Dress-up styles, including princess and Disney Moana looks, have soft-lined bodices, no scratchy net against the back, and skirts that spin but still fit in a car seat and go in the washing machine.
PAW Patrol clothes for preschool independence
PAW Patrol clothes are designed around a three-year-old dressing themselves: pull-on waists, easy neck openings, and characters placed where a child can see them when looking down at their own chest.
When siblings love different characters
Licensed ranges share colour palettes across the season, so one child in a pup tee and one in a princess dress still read as a set in the same photo. For theme-park trips we weight the fabric down — breathable cotton and sun-friendly coverage for long days in Florida or California heat, where a heavyweight character hoodie is the thing you end up carrying.
